An opportunity is available for an experienced Project Manager – Site Surveillance Officer to support a major Flood Recovery Road Repair Program based in Moree and surrounding regional sites.

Start Date: 9 March 2026
End Date: 7 March 2027
Hours: 7 hours per day | 35 hours per week
Pay Rate: $400 - $420/day + super (to be discussed)
Location: On-site in Moree (5 days per week)
Overtime: Not required

This role will provide on-the-ground site surveillance support to the project delivery team, working within a small, high-performing team overseeing significant road repair works due to flooding.

You will work closely with the Program Manager, Project Managers, Contract Administrators and Site Surveillance team members to ensure works are delivered safely, compliantly and to specification.

This is a 12-month, full-time contract position requiring a Moree-based resource.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveillance of contract works across road construction projects
• Perform safety, environmental and quality inspections in line with guidelines and checklists
• Monitor contractor compliance with systems, specifications and contractual requirements
• Track and report on progress of works on-site
• Provide consistent on-site presence representing the delivery team
• Support minor contract administration tasks
• Collate works completion evidence, including site photos, for progress claims
• Escalate issues appropriately and provide informed recommendations

Work Split:

• 80–90% site travel
• 10–20% administration

A site vehicle will be provided.
Accommodation (Monday–Friday) will need to be covered by the contractor. 

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in site surveillance
• Demonstrated experience in road construction projects
• Experience working in reactive soil (black soil) environments
• Ability to work autonomously on remote sites with regular weekly check-ins
• Strong attention to detail and sound judgment
• Confidence to address contractor performance issues when required
• Ability to interpret contractual and technical documentation, including design drawings
• White Card (essential)
• Valid Driver’s Licence (essential)
• Full-time availability (5 days per week)

About You You are a hands-on site professional who understands rural and road construction environments. You’re confident working independently in regional locations, while remaining aligned with senior project leadership. You communicate clearly, identify risks early and ensure works meet safety, environmental and quality standards.
