Power Platform & Automation Specialist
Location: Perth, Central Park (hybrid: ~2 WFH days/week)
Hours: 40 hours per week | Hybrid (3 days in office)
Rate: $77.75 – $101.65 per hour + Super
Contract: 12 months
About the Role We are looking for a Power Platform & Automation Specialist to join our Improvements team on a 12‑month contract. In this role, you will support a pipeline of procurement improvement initiatives by designing and enhancing automation solutions across the Power Platform. You will apply modern automation techniques, including AI-driven capabilities, to streamline processes, optimise workflows, and deliver high‑impact, scalable business solutions.
You will work closely with stakeholders across Procurement and Sustaining Capital to understand requirements, uplift existing applications, and support smooth transitions to enhanced digital workflows.
Key Responsibilities - Analyse, document, and assess existing workflows, solutions, and applications across the Microsoft Power Platform and related business tools to identify optimisation and enhancement opportunities.
- Support the ongoing development, improvement, and expansion of our Source‑to‑Contract (S2C) application, including refining functionality, enhancing user experience, and helping deliver new capability aligned with business needs.
- Design, build, optimise, and migrate digital applications and workflows using Power Automate and Power Apps (Canvas), incorporating AI‑enabled capabilities where beneficial and aligning solutions with procurement business needs.
- Implement and maintain data connections, workflows, and automation using Microsoft technologies, ensuring these solutions deliver intelligent insights and improved business outcomes through effective AI integration.
- Modernise information management and collaboration practices by enhancing SharePoint structures, digital workspaces, and automated document processes.
- Provide technical advice, troubleshooting, and support throughout design, implementation, and continuous improvement phases.
About You - 4–5 years' experience developing solutions across Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power Apps (Canvas), with proficiency in JSON.
- Demonstrated capability or strong interest in using AI‑enabled features such as AI Builder, Copilot/GPT integrations, and AI‑driven document processing to create intelligent workflows and support predictive automation.
- Solid experience with SharePoint, including SharePoint Lists as data sources for Canvas Apps.
- Strong understanding of process improvement, workflow design, and automation best practices.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate business needs into effective digital solutions.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a passion for exploring emerging technologies, including automation, machine learning, and generative AI.
- Prior procurement experience is helpful but not essential. What matters most is your enthusiasm to understand procurement workflows and apply digital solutions to improve them.
