We are currently seeking reliable and dedicated Therapy Assistants to join our team across Perth and regional Western Australia.
This role is suitable for candidates who are passionate about supporting clients with mobility, independence, daily living skills, rehabilitation activities, and overall wellbeing under the direction of qualified allied health professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and other allied health professionals with therapy programs
- Assist clients with mobility, exercise, rehabilitation and functional activities
- Support clients with daily living skills, independence, safety and wellbeing
- Follow therapy plans and instructions provided by qualified clinicians
- Assist with equipment setup, mobility aids and safe movement activities
- Observe and report client progress, concerns or changes in condition
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes as required
- Communicate professionally with clients, families, support workers, nurses and allied health teams
- Follow infection control, manual handling and workplace health and safety procedures
- Promote dignity, respect, independence and person-centred care at all times
Essential Requirements: - Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance, Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, or equivalent is preferred
- Previous experience as a Therapy Assistant, Allied Health Assistant, PCA or Support Worker is desirable
- Experience in aged care, disability, community care, rehabilitation or NDIS services is desirable
- Valid visa status and full working rights in Australia
- Current passport or valid photo identification
- Current driver’s licence is desirable
- Current National Police Check, valid within the last 12 months
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check, if required
- Current Manual Handling Training Certificate
- Current First Aid Certificate – HLTAID011 or equivalent, completed within the last 3 years
- Current CPR Certificate – HLTAID009 or equivalent, completed within the last 12 months
- COVID-19 vaccination certificate, if required by the facility
- Current influenza vaccination certificate, if required by the facility
- Infection Control Training certificate is desirable
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module – “Quality, Safety and You” is desirable
- Strong communication, teamwork and time-management skills
- Ability to follow care plans, therapy plans and workplace procedures
