We are looking for looking experienced Frac Operators based locally in Queensland to support our growing Operations team in Roma, Australia.
As a Frac Operator, you will:
- Operate frac equipment within approved operating and safety procedures
- Perform manual labour tasks including rig up /rig down of frac equipment.
- Prepare and complete pre-starts, pre-mobilisation, and post-mobilisation checklists as needed.
- Work alongside the E.T. and Mechanic to ensure proper calibration and maintenance of L.A.s, D.A.s, Sand Screws, and relevant software.
- Perform basic maintenance as needed, maintain an inventory of spare parts, and communicate with the supervisor regarding parts or consumables used or required for each job.
- Troubleshoot complex equipment malfunctions and implementing effective solutions.
- Maintain a safe work area through compliance with CESL and site HSEQ requirements and procedures.
- Actively participate in all safety meetings and incident reporting.
- Be fit for work to perform all tasks associated with the role including driving when necessary.
About You A successful candidate must have the following experience and qualifications:
- Experienced with all relevant equipment, including sand delivery systems, frac pumps, frac blender and hydration unit
- Ideally 3 + years’ experience as a Frac Operator in the oil and gas industry
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of all job-related chemicals and the procedures for safe manual handling and loading for transport
- Hold a dangerous goods licence and able to collaborate with Supervisors and Engineers to manage transport logistics to and from the job site.
- Hold relevant licences and tickets including CPR, First Aid, Well Site Permit to Work Holder, and able to operate and maintain a 4WD are essential requirements of the role
- Holding tickets and licences including MC Licence, Load Restraint, Telescopic Material Handler, Radiation User QLD, DG Licence, Forklift Licence, Gas Test Atmosphere, Elevating Work Platform and Work Safely at Heights are highly desirable
- Familiar with the functions of Liquid Additive and Dry Additive System.
- Able to collaborate with Supervisors and Engineers to manage transport logistics to and from the job site.
