Role: Head of Brand Partnerships
Company: Podcast and social studio, part of a major UK independent TV group
Dates: asap for 1 year fixed term contract, with potential for perm role
Location: Oval, London and hybrid
Salary: £60,000 – £70,000
Our client is the podcast and social arm of one of the UK’s largest independent TV groups. They pair well-known talent with strong editorial, and their podcast and vodcast slate is expanding fast.
With launch sponsors already in place and more brands showing interest, they now need a commercially minded partnerships lead to bring brands in and make those relationships work.
The Opportunity
This is a newly created, first-of-its-kind role at the studio. You’ll own the commercial side of the slate: matching the right brands to the right shows, pitching and closing sponsorship, then keeping and growing those accounts.
There’s live business to manage from day one and a clear opportunity to build something from the ground up.
In TV, this side of the business has traditionally sat with the broadcaster. Our client is looking for someone who understands how brands buy, ideally from podcast, audio or digital media sales, and who can bring that know-how into a creatively led company.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and approach new brand partners across the slate, including a priority opportunity on a talent-led show with a broad family audience
- Write tailored sponsorship proposals and creative partnership ideas, from full-series deals to single-episode sponsorships
- Produce and maintain monthly stats and audience data as figures change
- Manage existing sponsors, maximising and renewing deals, and weigh up upselling current partners against bringing in new ones
- Act as day-to-day liaison with brands, anticipating their expectations on marketing assets, deliverables and launch timelines
- Lead negotiation and deal closure, with contracts drawn up in-house
- Contribute to strategy meetings with the Creative Director and senior team
- Spot brand opportunities across the group’s wider TV output, including existing sponsored shows and potential spin-offs
What You’ll Bring - A proven track record selling and managing brand partnerships or sponsorship, ideally in podcasts, audio or digital content
- A strong network of brand and agency contacts
- Confidence writing persuasive proposals and presenting audience data
- Experience managing brand relationships and campaign deliverables end to end
- A self-starter mindset, and comfort building processes in a small, growing team
- An understanding of talent-led content and how to protect editorial integrity while working with brands
This is a brilliant opportunity to shape the commercial strategy of a growing studio with established talent, backed by a major TV group. There’s real room to grow the role as the slate succeeds.
Start: ASAP, but will wait for a notice period
