They've recently expanded into podcasts and are backed by strong broadcaster relationships, with real momentum behind their next stage of growth.

The Opportunity

This is a newly created senior role at a pivotal moment for the business. The current development team is talented but stretched thin, without a dedicated senior lead or clear strategy for growth. Our client is looking for a Head of Development to bring structure, ambition and a genuinely returning pipeline to a slate that's rooted in premium documentary including true crime but has real appetite to grow into factual entertainment and formats.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and shape the development slate across documentary, factual and factual entertainment
• Build a genuinely returning pipeline rather than one-off commissions
• Bring and build broadcaster and streamer relationships, particularly helping crack new streaming partners, alongside strong existing relationships with established broadcasters
• Support and bring structure to the wider development team and talent pod

• Excellent writing skills and a tireless ideas brain, someone who understands the market and where it's moving
• Existing relationships with major streamers
• A senior development track record with commissions in premium content
• A strong grounding in documentary, with range into popular factual/factual entertainment
• Ambition and vision to help grow the business into its next chapter
• Real energy, and strong, nurturing leadership skills
• Glasgow based, or willing to be for most of the week
