The Company
This is an exciting opportunity to work for a luxury events agency! Our client is searching for a VP, Growth - Events & Experiential to join their agency in a FT capacity and lead the business development division.
The Role
The VP of Growth will work with clients to build and cultivate business relationships. The role will be responsible for driving the pipeline of new business, supporting new and existing clients and working across the company to provide an innovative portfolio of events and solutions to upsell accounts and support business growth. Role reports to the President.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Deliver quarterly and annual revenue targets
- Identify, research and cultivate new business opportunities that drive new revenue
- Develop ways to achieve sales targets and drive the sales pipeline
- Keep abreast of RFPs and respond in a timely manner
- Negotiate contracts and close on new accounts
- Overseeing the delivery of all RFPs and pitches
- Forge strong and lasting partnerships with clients
- Exceed annual sales targets
- Undertake extensive reporting with clients post event to ensure ROI
- Participate in cross functional leadership meetings - working closely with the event operations, production, creative and marketing teams
- Stay abreast of competitors and trends in the industry
- Track industry trends and report all activities up to the President
This Job is Ideal for Someone who has - Proven leadership experience in sales, business development and account management within the events and experiential industries
- Experience leading sales and business development teams
- Agency experience highly preferred
- Customer focused mindset
- Exceptional experience managing, writing and responding to Client briefs and RFPs
- Passion for and experience selling within events, meetings, conferences and experiential
- Experience working with internal and external stakeholders including event operations and creative teams
- Proven experience being the voice for the company and maintaining exceptional client relationships
- Proven experience working with multiple clients and projects simultaneously
- Strong project management skills
- Strong attention to detail, flexibility and accountability for results
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A passion for events and drive to thrive in a fast-paced, high pressure agency environment
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent time management and problem solving skills
- Strong desire to work with a fun, creative and entrepreneurial team in a fast-paced agency environment.
- The Candidate must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed; as well as participate in overnight travel for events
- Local and interstate travel may be required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
The anticipated package for this position is $175,000 - $225,000 + benefits + commission (OTE year 1 - $50,000 - $75,000 uncapped) dependent on experience. The package is based on a range of factors, including relevant experience, skills, knowledge, job-related qualifications, complexity of the role, market considerations, geographic location and region, and budgetary considerations. This is the anticipated total compensation package (including base salary), which may include additional company benefits such as bonuses, commission, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and retirement.
