The Company
Our Client is a B2B conference organizer based in Manhattan, New York. They are looking for a Sponsorship Sales Director - REMOTE to join their team in a FT capacity. The company delivers B2B and executive conferences and networking events.
The Role
The role is pivotal in opening doors, driving revenue growth, maintaining client relationships, and closing deals. The Sponsorship Sales Director (growth role) will be a seasoned B2B sales professional with a keen ability to identify client needs and effectively present solutions to foster lasting relationships.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting desk and phone research to identify key industry players and potential clients, develop outbound lead generation strategies
- Creating strong demand for the client's portfolio and building a pipeline of new partners
- Developing new client relationships via phone, email, and social media channels
- Assessing and identifying client needs, goals and interests and presenting effective solutions to drive renewals
- Educating new and existing clients on the full spectrum of sponsorship and networking solutions
- Establishing credibility and working directly with executive level leaders within prospective client organizations
- Closing high volume of deals and sponsorship transactions
- Learning and developing expertise in all aspects of the company platform
- Owning multi-stakeholder sales and contract negotiation process
- Partnering with senior leadership on pipeline progress and team development
This Job is Ideal for Someone who has - 4+ years sales experience, ideally in outbound sales in B2B corporate events, conference & meetings
- Proven track record of lead generation and ability to drive clients from initiation through to close
- Strong client facing and consultative selling skills into executive level leadership (VP Marketing, CMO) across Fortune 1000 level companies
- Strong data-driven and analytical sales approach and desire to drive revenue growth
- Ambition and proven track record of exceeding revenue targets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence in public speaking
- A passion for conferences and executive networking and drive to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, time management, attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Budget management experience
- Local, interstate and international travel may be required
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000 + commission ($40,000 to $50,000) for an OTE of $130,000 - $140,000 + benefits, dependent on experience. The salary is based on a range of factors, including relevant experience, skills, knowledge, job-related qualifications, complexity of the role, market considerations, geographic location and region, and budgetary considerations. This is the anticipated base salary component of the total compensation package, which may include additional company benefits such as bonuses, commission, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and retirement.
