About the Role
The Perks Banking & Finance Team provide finance advisory services to help our strong pipeline of existing Perks’ clients secure competitive rates and terms for business, home, and equipment loans. As the Credit Analyst or Senior Credit Analyst, you will join a collaborative team who provide expert advice tailored to each clients’ unique needs.
You will play a key role in building and maintaining long lasting relationships with our clients. You will work closely with the Relationship Managers (Mortgage Brokers), who can provide tools and training to develop your skillset towards Relationship Manager over time, if that aligns with your long-term goals.
Responsibilities
- Analysis of financial & credit data including reference checks, credit ratings, and application forms to develop financial strategies & recommendations
- Assess risks & opportunities for clients through financial modelling and analysis
- Prepare concise and logically sound credit applications for clients for commercial, residential, and asset finance loans
- Manage the portfolio in collaboration with the Relationship Manager, including pipelines, client reviews, leads, and client interactions
Skills and Experience
Some of the skills and attributes that you would bring to the role include:
- Completion of Cert IV or Diploma of Finance & Mortgage Broking Management
- 3-5+ years of experience in the Finance Broking or Banking industry
- Working experience and understanding of commercial loans (highly desirable)
- Solid understanding of financials & tax returns for self-employed financial structures (desirable)
- Ability to grasp complex transactions & identify risks and benefits
- Positive, enthusiastic attitude including a high degree of self-motivation and proactive approach to work
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to build a network of connections & build rapport quickly
