About the Role
Working directly to support one of the Perks Private Wealth (PPW) Directors, the Adviser is responsible for proactively managing the advice delivery process from end to end for a designated client base.
In this position, you will implement effective advice strategies to build and protect client wealth. In collaboration with the Paraplanners and Client Service Manager, you will drive the process to coordinate quality, comprehensive and tax effective plans for our clients in areas including investment and superannuation.
You’ll be introduced to existing clients, allowing you to gradually build and manage your own portfolio with the support and mentorship of the Director. This position provides a clear pathway to becoming a fully-developed Adviser, with mentoring and exposure to complex client scenarios that will accelerate your development.
Responsibilities
- Work in collaboration with the Director to deliver comprehensive financial advice to clients, including preparation of investment recommendations
- Prepare for client review meetings, considering existing and new financial planning strategies and preparation of basic SOA’s for superannuation contributions, pension commencement and investment strategies
- Utilise financial planning software (XPLAN) to produce cash flow and financial modelling scenarios for client review meetings and advice documents
- Manage ongoing advice and review tasks, and direct workflow in consultation with the Client Service Manager
- Respond to client queries where necessary, acting as a secondary point of contact initially and gradually transitioning to the first point of contact for select clients
- Establish and maintain rapport with clients
Skills and Experience
Some of the skills and attributes that you would bring to the role include:
- Completion of a FASEA approved bachelor’s degree
- 1-2+ years’ experience in a professional services environment within an Associate Adviser position. Previous experience in Paraplanning or Client Services will be looked on favourably
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Organised, with the ability to prioritise and manage conflicting deadlines.
- Willingness to learn, high levels of initiative and an enthusiastic team player
