The Role 
 
Our Support Service Workers provide all hospitality aspects of our Aged Care home such as catering, cleaning, and laundry services. Working Part-Time, reporting to the Manager, you’ll support weekday operations by cleaning resident rooms, shared spaces, and managing laundry services, ensuring infection control standards across our 93-bed home. You will build strong relationships with our residents, families, and Care Staff, contributing to the optimisation of resident choice and essentially creating a strong sense of home in accordance with our values supporting our resident's quality of life.

What you will do  

• Preparation and presentation of dietary services, including meals and drinks 
• Assisting the chef with meal preparation, cleaning and general kitchen duties 
• Distribution of meals to residents & dining room services 
• All aspects of cleaning throughout the resident rooms and facility 
• Completing required documentation and reporting 
• Ensure handwashing supplies are available and replenished 
• Contribute to an effective laundry service including item checking & labelling 

What you will bring  

• Experience gained in a similar role, preferably within an Aged Care setting (not essential) 
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills 
• Currently hold an NDIS Check (or willing to obtain) 
• An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes highly regarded but not essential
