Role - Senior Network & Systems / Infrastructure Engineer
Duration - 24 Month FTC
Location - Sydney
 
Note - Baseline Security is required for this role so we are only accepting Australian citizens applications.
 
We are seeking a senior engineer to delivery IT systems, server and networking Infrastructure Projects. In this role, you will provide technical and project support.
This is a hands-on, operationally focussed position with high visibility across both project delivery and BAU support. You will work closely with vendors, project managers, and customer stakeholders to ensure the reliability and security of mission-critical systems.
 
The role responsibilities:

• Create and manage users and security groups across Okta and Active Directory
• Administer, configure, and support key business applications
• Manage access control, upgrades, patches, and change requests
• Manage virtualised Windows Server environments (2016+), monitor, administer, and support server infrastructure
• Configure and maintain server performance and availability
• Configure routers, switches, and firewalls for the delivery of new services
• Support and troubleshoot network protocols including OSPF, BGP, MPLS/RSVP, QoS, BFD, SNMPv3, RADIUS, NTP, and L2/L3 VPN
• Coordinate with third-party vendors for extended support and operational activities
• Engage and collaborate with customers to improve operational excellence
• Act as a trusted technical point of contact during service transitions
• Ensure network, server, and resource monitoring and alerting remains active
• Support and deliver technical projects to a high standard of quality

 
Technical skills required:

• 10+ years in network and infrastructure project delivery
• Advanced skills within Microsoft suite, Active Directory, Servers, Group Policy, Exchange, Office365
• Strong experience in networking, ideally service provider networks (IP/MPLS)
• Networking Protocols - OSPF, BGP, QoS
• Certifications in ITIL, Cisco, Microsoft highly preferred
