Job Role: Cyber Engineer / Designer - OT  
Duration: 12 month renewable
Location: Brisbane 
 
Role: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cyber Designer to join the team. This is a role ideal for candidates with 2-3 years of experience as a designer, who is looking to grow their expertise in Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity.  
The successful candidate will work under the guidance of senior team members to support the design, documentation, and implementation of OT cybersecurity solutions aligned with industry standards. 
 
This role is to join a large 5-year program. 
 
Key Responsibilities: 

• Assist in the design and development of OT cybersecurity architectures and solutions 
• Support implementation activities aligned with IEC 62443 standards 
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design documents and procedures 
• Contribute to the creation and review of test reports and validation artifacts 
• Participate in meetings with internal teams and stakeholders for coordination and updates 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, IT, cybersecurity) to ensure security requirements are integrated into OT systems 
• Support risk assessments and basic security evaluations under supervision 
• Track tasks and provide regular progress updates to team leads 

 
Required Experience: 

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field 
• 2-3 years of experience in cybersecurity, OT systems, or industrial environments 
• Basic understanding of OT systems (e.g., SCADA, PLCs, industrial networks) 
• Familiarity with IEC 62443 or other industrial cybersecurity standards is preferred 
• Experience with technical documentation and report writing 
• Strong communication and coordination skills 
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
