Portfolio Manager - Technology
 
Sydney | Long-term contract | $10-20m annual portfolio
 
We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to lead the planning, delivery, and financial management of a portfolio of enterprise technology projects. This is a senior role overseeing a multi-million-dollar CAPEX program, managing a team of Project Managers and Business Analysts, and ensuring successful delivery across all stages of the project lifecycle.

The Role

• Oversee the delivery of a $10-20m per annum IT project portfolio
• Lead and develop a team of 3-6 project managers and analysts
• Drive financial planning, capital planning cycles, and reporting
• Manage vendor contracts worth $10-20m, ensuring commercial value and strong delivery partnerships
• Define and oversee governance processes, ensuring scope, cost, and time are effectively controlled
• Provide executive-level stakeholder engagement across technology, business, finance, procurement, and vendors
• Act as a point of escalation for risks, delivery issues, and vendor underperformance

About You

• 15+ years' experience in IT and business project delivery, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles
• Proven success managing enterprise-scale portfolios and complex vendor ecosystems
• Strong background in financial management of multi-million-dollar CAPEX programs
• Experience delivering corporate technology systems (HCM, ERP, Finance platforms)
• Skilled in portfolio governance, risk management, and strategic planning
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at C-suite level
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Finance, or Technology
• Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent) essential; Agile/ITIL/Portfolio certifications highly regarded
