Senior Project Manager
6-Month Contract | Sydney | Insurance, Data & Transformation Focus
 
We're seeking a Senior Project Manager to join on a 6-month contract. This role will lead the delivery of three concurrent project streams with budgets ranging from $10M to $20M, driving successful execution of large-scale insurance, data, reporting, and process transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of three major project streams, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and business outcomes are achieved.
• Oversee projects with budgets in the $10-20 million range, managing cost, forecasting, and financial governance.
• Deliver insurance and data-focused initiatives, including migrations, reporting frameworks, and process mapping.
• Strengthen organisational data capabilities by enhancing transparency, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
• Manage external vendors, ensuring delivery excellence, value for money, and high performance.
• Engage stakeholders across business and technology, aligning delivery with insurance and compliance frameworks.
• Provide transparent reporting on progress, risks, issues, and dependencies across all project streams.

Required Experience:

• Proven track record as a Senior Project Manager delivering large-scale programmes in the insurance or financial services sector.
• Hands-on expertise with insurance and data projects, including migrations, reporting, and process mapping.
• Demonstrated experience managing $10M-$20M project budgets.
• Strong vendor management skills, with the ability to drive delivery and outcomes from partners.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior executives and delivery teams.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in insurance transformation initiatives, such as claims or policy platforms.
• Familiarity with large-scale system implementations (e.g. Guidewire, Duck Creek, or similar insurance platforms).
