Credit Assessor – Consumer Lending (Unsecured Personal Loans) �� North Sydney | �� 12-month Max Term | 4 days in office

Join a fast-growing FinTech lender specialising in consumer finance. We’re looking for a Credit Assessor with proven experience in manual credit decisioning for unsecured personal loans. This is a hands-on role in a collaborative, high-energy team — not a mortgage-focused position.
What you’ll be doing

• Manually assess and decision unsecured personal loan applications
• Review applicant documentation including income, liabilities, and credit history
• Apply responsible lending obligations (RG 209, NCCP Act) and ensure compliance with ASIC/ACL requirements
• Identify fraud or high-risk applications and escalate appropriately
• Partner with Risk, Operations, and Customer Service to deliver fast, accurate, and fair lending outcomes

What we’re looking for

• Must have: Manual credit assessment experience in consumer lending (personal loans, unsecured lending, BNPL or similar)
• Strong understanding of Australian credit regulations and responsible lending standards
• Ability to make consistent, independent decisions in a fast-paced FinTech environment
• Detail-oriented, with sound judgement and a proactive approach
• Mortgage-only assessors will not be considered
