Job Summary: The Finance Principal serves as a critical control and value protection function, acting as the backbone of financial discipline, governance, risk management, and strategic decision support within IGC. The role provides independent financial oversight, strengthens accountability and controls, and supports executive decision making to drive sustainable value creation.
 
Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Lead financial governance, internal controls, risk management, and compliance frameworks across the organisation.
• Evaluate and oversee complex commercial agreements, pricing structures, and contractual risk exposures to protect and enhance business value.
• Act as a strategic finance partner to the CFO, CEO, and Board, providing financial insights, challenge, and decision support.
• Drive finance transformation initiatives, including reporting excellence, process optimisation, ERP systems, and performance management.
• Lead, develop, and mentor high-performing finance teams, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
• Manage key relationships with shareholders, regulators, auditors, government entities, and executive stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and governance at all levels.
• Strong expertise in treasury, liquidity, funding, and cash flow management.
• Proven experience in enterprise risk management, hedging, and FX/interest rate risk management.
• Advanced financial modelling, valuation, and commercial analysis capabilities.
• Extensive experience in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
• Strong track record in performance management, KPI development, and driving value creation through data-driven decision-making.

 
 
Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• Professional certifications preferred: ACCA (or equivalent: CPA / CFA preferred)
• Minimum 10-15 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior/lead role.
• Experience in energy, utilities, infrastructure, or commodity-based sectors is highly preferred.
