Job Purpose:
Deep understanding of both Citrix and F5 WAF capabilities to provide insights on best practices, potential integrations, and performance enhancements.
Set up and manage firewalls to protect web applications from attacks.
Continuously check web traffic and logs for potential security threats.
Design secure network architectures for OT environment, segmenting between different zones to secure the OT network thus ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
Create and enforce security rules for web applications.
Regularly check for weaknesses in applications and suggest fixes.
Monitoring network traffic, detecting potential security incidents, investigating breaches, and implementing strategies to mitigate threats and prevent future attacks.
Implementing security best practices, ensuring proper traffic management, and minimizing potential network issues that could impact operations.
Keep records of firewall settings and security incidents for audits.
in-depth troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues related to application security and WAF performance on both platforms.
Reviewing and validating all configurations and WAF and building the WAF policy manually after validation with stakeholders to have a granular control of the traffic.
Stay updated on new security threats and recommend better protection tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Successfully deploy and configure Citrix ADC and F5 WAF to protect web applications.
Maintain continuous monitoring of security events and traffic patterns.
Develop, test, and manage robust security policies to mitigate risks.
Achieve high application performance through load balancing, caching, and acceleration techniques.
Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests, delivering actionable reports.
Lead and manage incident response efforts for security breaches with thorough analysis.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, policies, and incident reports.
Provide training and mentorship to IT staff and developers on best practices.
Ensure security configurations and policies meet relevant compliance standards.
Foster collaboration with development and operations teams for integrated security measures.
Integrate threat intelligence feeds into WAF systems to enhance capabilities.
Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline WAF management tasks.
Stay updated on the latest security threats and advancements in relevant technologies.
Analyze user behavior and traffic patterns to detect insider threats or compromised accounts. Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with operational teams to enhance both site security and overall cybersecurity posture.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
3 - 5 years of hands-on experience with Citrix ADC and F5 WAF deployment, configuration, and management.
Proven experience in implementing web application security best practices (e.g., OWASP Top Ten vulnerabilities).
Demonstrated experience in managing security incidents, including forensic analysis and post incident reporting.
Experience optimizing application performance through load balancing, caching, and acceleration techniques using Citrix ADC and F5 WAF.
Experience conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on web applications.
Experience implementing and managing Web Application Firewall (WAF) rules and policies specifically for API protection.
Experience working in Cross functional teams, particularly with development and operations (DevOps) teams.
