Job Purpose: The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities, contributing significantly to revenue growth. This involves building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients, collaborating with internal teams (including Sales, Marketing, and Operations), and managing projects from initial pitch to successful implementation. The BDM will play a key role in shaping the company's strategic direction in new markets and sectors.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Sales Planning & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive annual sales plans designed to achieve healthy revenue growth year-over-year. This includes setting specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) targets for new client acquisition and project wins. Consistently monitor performance against targets, adapting strategies as needed to maximize results. Provide regular reports and updates to executive management.
• Market Research & Opportunity Identification: Conduct thorough market research to identify promising new sectors, partnerships, and business opportunities aligned with the company's strategic goals. Develop detailed market analyses and competitive assessments to inform decision-making. Prioritize opportunities based on potential ROI and alignment with business objectives. Identify and cultivate at least two new target markets annually, resulting in the acquisition of at least 3 new clients within single year in each market.
• Cross-Functional Project Management: Manage complex, cross-functional projects involving internal teams (Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance) and external vendors. Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, meeting the required quality standards and adhering to established agency processes. Track project milestones, manage resources effectively, and mitigate potential risks.
• Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and potential clients. Proactively identify client needs and provide strategic guidance to help them achieve their business objectives. Increase client engagement through personalized communication and regular follow-up. Maintain a high level of client satisfaction, as evidenced by [Client satisfaction metric, e.g., Net Promoter Score (NPS)]. 
• Proposal Development & Presentation: Develop compelling, customized proposals and presentations that effectively communicate the value proposition of the company's services and solutions. Tailor proposals to meet the specific needs and requirements of each client. Achieve a 60% success rate on proposals submitted.
• Database Management & CRM: Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date CRM database (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) containing accurate contact information, client interaction histories, and relevant market data. Ensure data integrity and accessibility for all relevant stakeholders. Use CRM tools to manage leads, track progress, and analyze performance.
• Financial Management & Cost Optimization: Collaborate closely with the Finance department to develop accurate budgets, track project expenses, and monitor profitability. Actively seek opportunities to optimize costs and improve efficiency while maintaining high quality. Maintain rate cards, SLAs, and other supporting documentation.
• Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration: Maintain open communication with internal stakeholders (GM, Executive Management, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance) to ensure alignment with business objectives, provide regular updates on progress, and solicit feedback.
• Continuous Improvement: Actively seek opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and increase profitability within the Business Development department. Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends. 

• Experience: Minimum 10 years of proven success in business development or lead generation within a AV setting, consistently exceeding targets and demonstrating a clear track record of revenue growth.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated proficiency in building and maintaining strong relationships with diverse stakeholders. Fluency in Arabic and English is highly desirable.
• Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and deliver results within tight deadlines. Experience with project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello, Monday.com.
• Strategic Thinking & Analysis: Demonstrated ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, develop strategic plans, and adapt to changing circumstances. Strong analytical skills are essential for assessing market viability and client potential.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), and project management tools.
