About the Role
We’re on the lookout to appoint a highly capable IT Support Officer. The appointment will be full-time for a period of five (5) months.
As an integral part of our ICT and Facilities team, the IT Support Officer will report directly to the IT Operations Lead.
On a daily basis this role will be responsible for providing exceptional assistance and support to our people and our business with the TUH network, servers, systems, building facilities, PC's and peripherals.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Conducting daily system, application and network monitoring and maintenance
- Analysing incidents and service requests for correct prioritisation, classification and initial support requirements.
- Providing Level 1-2 support to users for desktop hardware, software, printers, phone systems, cloud products and environments, remote access, networks and security
- Maintenance and development of internal and external client relations by providing accurate, prompt and friendly assistance, advice and service on ICT Services issues
- Demonstrating strong communication skills ensuring that verbal and written responses when dealing with customers and other team members are relevant, clear, complete and logical
- Managing vendor escalation until resolution of any support tasks
- Maintaining quality documentation relevant to tasks undertaken and systems supported
- Maintaining knowledge of contemporary industry practice, emerging technology opportunities, as well as alerts and issues that may negatively impact TUH
About You
To thrive in this role, you will have:
- A passion for IT and providing excellent customer service
- A Diploma or tertiary qualification in Information Technology (or equivalent Microsoft certification)
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a desktop support or service desk officer.
- Knowledge of MS Office and associated applications
- Knowledge of, or competency in, PC, laptop, printer & hardware repair and maintenance
- The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team; and
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a willingness to resolve issues.
