Our client, a leading Irish construction developer and main contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to take full ownership of flagship, large-scale projects (e.g., high-density residential, mixed-use, commercial, or data centres) from pre-construction through to final handover. This role blends technical oversight, contractor management, and commercial delivery to meet the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance.
 
Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Strategy

• Lead and direct the full project lifecycle from inception, planning, design coordination, and construction to final handover.
• Act as the primary interface between the internal development team, external consultants, subcontractors, and local authorities

 Programme & Site Management

• Develop, monitor, and maintain detailed project programmes, logistics plans, and critical path activities.
• Coordinate and manage multidisciplinary site teams (Site Managers, engineers, sub-contractors) ensuring clear scope allocation.

 Commercial & Budget Control

• Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost control, and commercial risk in conjunction with the in-house commercial and QS teams.
• Support procurement processes and negotiate cost variations with service providers

Quality, Safety, & Compliance

• Ensure works are executed in compliance with statutory regulations, Irish Building Control Regulations (BCAR), and company Health & Safety systems.
• Drive quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of finish.

Risk Management & Reporting

• Maintain the project risk register, identifying bottlenecks proactively and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Chair progress meetings and issue regular, structured KPI reports to senior management. 

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum \(5-8+\) years of post-graduate experience managing large-scale construction projects, with a strong preference for candidates with a Tier-1 main contractor or developer background.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Irish planning/building systems, RC frame structures, and modern construction methodologies.
• Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, client-facing communication, and commercial awareness. Proficiency in standard project planning software.
