Site Engineer
Location: Dublin
Salary: €60-75K + Package

As a Site Engineer, you will be part of the site management team, providing technical support, overseeing building works, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, drawings, and Irish building regulations. This is a hands-on, site-based role requiring accurate setting out and proactive communication with subcontractors, project managers, and the design team.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Setting Out & Surveying: Carry out precise setting out and levelling of site works using GPS, Robotic Total Stations, and surveying equipment, ensuring accuracy from groundworks through to structural completion.
• Technical Oversight: Interpret drawings and specifications to supervise site work and subcontractor performance, addressing any technical queries or unforeseen issues.
• Quality & BCAR Compliance: Ensure all works meet project quality control standards, including maintaining as-built documentation, QC records, concrete cube sampling, and supporting the overall BCAR plan.
• Health & Safety: Uphold rigorous Health & Safety standards on-site, including monitoring HSEQ compliance, ensuring safe work methods, and attending safety meetings.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed site records, including daily site diaries, material reconciliation, and progress reports.
• Coordination: Liaise effectively with consultants, subcontractors, site supervisors, and project management to manage the daily site operations.

Requirements

• Qualifications: A Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Experience: 2–5+ years of experience as a Site Engineer, ideally working with a Main Contractor in the Irish market.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using modern surveying equipment (Robotic Total Station/GPS) and AutoCAD.
• Competencies: Strong understanding of construction methods, including concrete frames, groundworks, and underground utilities.
• Attributes: Proactive, organized, strong communication skills, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Requirements: Full Clean Driving License required.
