Health and Safety Officer
Location: Swords 
Salary: €70-90K + Package

An experienced Health & Safety Officer is required for a leading building developer in Swords, Co. Dublin to monitor site safety ,enforce compliance, and deliver instruction.
Key tasks include conducting site audits, managing risk assessments, and maintaining statutory records in line with Irish H&S regulations for residential projects. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Safety Enforcement: Monitor and enforce the company’s Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) policies and management systems on-site.
• Auditing & Risk Assessment: Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and prepare risk assessments (RAMS) and method statements.
• Compliance Monitoring: Ensure strict compliance with all Irish Health & Safety legislation, particularly HSA requirements.
• Site Management Support: Assist site management in identifying hazards, managing site-specific hazards, and implementing controls.
• Training & Induction: Deliver site-specific safety inductions to all new employees and contractors.
• Document Control: Maintain up-to-date health and safety documentation, including statutory records, inspection records, and safety files.
• Incident Investigation: Actively investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, preparing reports and recommending corrective actions.
• Communication: Act as a key point of contact for H&S matters, conducting Toolbox Talks and safety briefings.

 
Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within a main contractor or developer environment.
• Education: A relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (NFQ Level 7/8 preferred).
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of Irish safety regulations (e.g., PSCS, Site Safety).
• Skills: Excellent communication, reporting skills, and proactive approach to hazard identification.
• Certifications: Safe Pass, Manual Handling instructor (desirable).
