A dynamic opportunity for a motivated Commercial Lawyer to work across both commercial and immigration matters. This role is ideal for someone with strong legal foundations who is confident handling a diverse range of client needs and comfortable working independently when required.
About the Role
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a flexible and detail-oriented Commercial Lawyer to join their legal team full-time in Auburn, Sydney. The successful candidate will work across a variety of legal areas, with a focus on commercial transactions, immigration law, and general advisory services for individuals, businesses, and community organisations.
This position offers meaningful work within a culturally diverse client base and would suit a solicitor who enjoys combining legal precision with practical problem-solving.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Draft. review and negotiate a range of commercial contracts, service agreements, and business-related legal documents
- Provide legal advice on immigration matters including visa options, employer sponsorship, and compliance issues
- Support clients with general legal advice on commercial structures, leases, and regulatory obligations
- Draft legal correspondence and submissions for immigration and commercial matters
- Provide practical legal support to small businesses and individuals
- Stay up to date with immigration law and policy changes that affect clients
- Prepare documentation and assist with submissions to government agencies and tribunals
- Conduct legal research to ensure accurate, up-to-date advice
- Liaise professionally with clients from varied backgrounds, as well as with external stakeholders end government bodies
- Travel to client appointments or external meetings as required.

What You Bring -
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD)
- Admitted to practice in NSW and holding a current practising certificate (or eligible)
- Sound understanding of Australian commercial and immigration law
- Strong communication and drafting skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Must hold a current driver's licence and be willing to travel locally
- Applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia

Desirable -
- Previous experience in Immigration law, contract law, or small business advisory
- Familiarity with applications to the Department of Home Affairs or the Administrative Appeals Tribunal
- Experience working in a client-facing legal environment

Position Details - Employment Type: Full-time
- Salary: $85,000 p.a. (negotiable based on experience)
- Location: Auburn, Sydney (office-based with occasional off-site meetings)
- Start Date: Immediate or as agreed
