Large-scale Greenfield project seeks experienced HSE Administrator - 12-month contract, based in Parkes, NSW - immediate start - newly created role.

What's the opportunity?
We are currently searching for an experienced HSE Administrator to join our expanding Parkes office. Reporting to the Health and Safety Superintendent, you will be responsible for providing administrative support across the Health, Safety and Environment team.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing administrative support and document control for HSE related functions
Assist in compiling the weekly and monthly report input to meet the project reporting requirements
Maintaining complete and accurate HSE statistics for the works performed by onsite subcontractors
Monitor and follow up HSE documentation to ensure compliance with reporting and document control procedures
Maintenance of the site environmental monitoring database, including uploading of laboratory data.
Assist with the development, maintenance and continual improvement of the site HSE registers (e.g. Environmental Obligations register, heritage sites register, induction register etc).
Monitors and maintains the HSE administration documents (i.e. key contacts list, Emergency contact numbers etc)
Collation of key health, safety and environmental statistics for internal and external reporting
Proactively co-ordinates Sunrise Project HSE routines such as pre-starts, safety meetings, inductions.
Skills and experience:
Previous experience in a similar HSE focussed administrative role, ideally within a large complex project environment;
High level proficiency in MS Office suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
Experience using document control systems (Aconex preferred);
Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration or WHS (preferred)
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders; and
A delivery focus with “can do” attitude.
