• Typical hours are M-F from 7am-5pm.
• Saturdays and later evening hours are left to Superintendents discretion.
• Superintendents are paid through lunch.
• No limit on hours worked.
• Night shift hours when job requires it due to safety reasons.
• Average OT for supers is 10-15/wk depending on the job and quota for production bonuses. 

• Expert at reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Expert at fine grading with a dozer and motor grader.
• Expert at laying storm drain and digging grade with an excavator.
• Capable of accurately shooting grades, figuring percentages on pipe and setting grades for boxes and ditches.
• Strong leadership ability.
• Excellent ability to communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, owners, and foreman.
• Manage Crew; hire, fire, create schedules, later hours left to Superintendent discretion.
