Schedule:

• Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 AM–8:00 PM with a 1-hour break
• Remaining 16 hours split between Friday and Monday
• Friday shifts end by 6:00 PM
• Monday shift begins by 8:00 AM
• Schedule is designed to provide seamless handoffs with the weekday team

What You’ll Do:

• Keep loads moving by booking and covering time-sensitive freight
• Monitor shipments for on-time pickups and deliveries
• Maintain accurate load and shipment information in McLeod
• Respond to carrier communications via phone, email, Chain, and other platforms
• Handle time-sensitive quotes through Parade
• Monitor shared tracking and team inboxes
• Resolve issues including no-shows, late arrivals, carrier requests, and rescheduling
• Identify and escalate issues that may impact next-day operations
• Prepare clear handoff notes and shift summaries
• Provide backup support for tracking and brokering until the weekday team takes over
• Use sound judgment to make timely decisions and escalate major operational or rate-related issues when needed

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy
• Calm, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving
• Strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills
• Ability to assess incomplete or conflicting information and determine the appropriate course of action

Preferred:

• Freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation experience
• Experience with McLeod, Parade, Highway, Chain, or similar systems
• Experience with food, refrigerated, or agricultural freight
• Experience working in high-volume, time-sensitive environments
