Construction Estimator - AI Solutions - Contract

Duties

Review construction plans, specifications, and scopes to develop accurate residential cost estimates.
Validate and refine AI-generated estimates using plans, historical data, and current market pricing.
Identify AI estimating errors and provide feedback to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Partner with product, engineering, and data teams to test and improve AI estimating tools.
Document estimating assumptions, best practices, and process improvements.
Monitor material costs, labor rates, and regional pricing trends.
Communicate estimate assumptions, risks, and variances to stakeholders.
Deliver accurate estimates within established quality standards and timelines.
Use AI tools effectively while applying critical thinking and taking ownership of final results.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of residential estimating experience, preferably with a homebuilder.
Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude.
Strong knowledge of residential construction, materials, and estimating practices.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Experience evaluating and correcting AI-generated estimates.
Familiarity with construction cost databases, labor rates, and regional pricing.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently on contract/project-based assignments.
