Responsibilities:  

• Review documents: Read blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications
• Calculate requirements: Determine exact quantities for labor, materials, equipment, and shipping
• Assess risks: Evaluate project feasibility, production factors, and potential costs
• Analyze pricing: Check vendor rates and competitor trends
• Prepare quotes: Build detailed, accurate cost estimates and formal bids
• Collaborate with teams: Work alongside sales, engineering, and operations staff
• Assist proposals: Help the sales department set profitable pricing strategies
• Review contracts: Ensure documentation complies with commercial terms
• Manage accounts: Serve as a primary contact for client questions and order updates
• Negotiate terms: Discuss prices and details with clients, subcontractors, and vendors
• Attend meetings: Join site walk-throughs, pre-bid meetings, and customer presentations

Qualifications: 

• Degree: a high school diploma combined with relevant industry experience or a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or finance
• Communication: Clear verbal and written skills to present bids and explain project scopes to clients and internal teams
• Negotiation: Ability to adjust pricing proposals and defend estimates to win profitable contracts 
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous review of project requirements to prevent costly oversights in bids
