Key Responsibilities

• Draft, format, proofread, and prepare legal documents, pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
• Prepare and submit documents through state and federal court e-filing systems.
• Maintain accurate, organized physical and electronic litigation files.
• Manage attorney calendars and coordinate hearings, depositions, mediations, meetings, and other appointments.
• Prepare trial binders, exhibits, discovery materials, and other case-related documents.
• Monitor case deadlines and ensure timely compliance with court rules, filing requirements, and procedures.
• Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, courts, opposing counsel, and other legal professionals.
• Assist with billing, attorney time entry, expense reports, and other administrative tasks as needed.
• Provide day-to-day administrative support to attorneys and the litigation team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary, preferably in a litigation environment.
• Strong understanding of court procedures, filing requirements, and e-filing systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Experience with legal case management or document management software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team.
