First National Bank of Omaha is looking to fill a Sr. Software Engineer position reporting to Omaha, NE (may telecommute from home residence anywhere in the U.S. up to 100% of time). Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent accepted) in computer science, engineering, telecommunications engineering, or an information technology-related field and eight years' progressively responsible experience in the occupation or a related IT field.
Experience must include the following specific skills and experience:
- 8 years' experience supporting BASE24 on HP Non-Stop platform
- 8 years' hands on experience with software languages including but not limited to TAL, COBOL, and C++
- 8 years' experience with ATM and POS authorization processes, switch (VISA, Mastercard, and Visa DPS) interfaces and TSS experience
- 8 years' experience analyzing network mandates from Visa, Mastercard, translating them into technical designs and message specifications
- 8 years' experience updating vanilla and custom code on Base24 interfaces and authorization modules to meet new network requirements
- 8 years' experience implementing ISO 8583 messaging for financial transactions and integrated systems with external networks like Visa, Mastercard, and Pulse
- 8 years' experience using TACL and NetBatch for job scheduling and automated workflows, while managing data using Enscribe and SQLMX databases
- 8 years' experience following PCI-DSS standards and banking regulations to keep sensitive financial data safe
- Ability to collaborate with team to update technical designs, ensure the correct technical tools are used effectively, and resolve defects in a timely manner
The Sr. Software Engineer is responsible for collaborating with the delivery team to ensure the solutions developed will deliver value and improve the quality of the software. This includes partnering with product owner, peers, systems analysts and testers on the Delivery team to define requirements, tasks and provide final estimates for User Stories. Individuals in this position are responsible for attending and participating in all Scrum ceremonies. The ideal candidate will enjoy the challenge of a customized software environment and welcome learning the complex systems.
Ability to assist with development and support of BASE24 application including applying regulation mandates, modifications to customizations within BASE24, new application development and system maintenance. Reviewing card brand mandates and interpret how they need to be implemented into the code. Take high level requirements through detailed specifications, prototype, software deployment, test and administration of mainframe applications. Ensure software development follows best practices including secure coding, participation in code reviews and developing unit tests. May also participate in upgrading or enhancing existing applications. Must have a solid history of application development, support, modifications, enhancements and troubleshooting.
May telecommute 100% of time from home residence anywhere in the U.S.

RATE OF PAY: $141,486.75
