MyStaff is partnering with a well-established and growing Omaha company to hire a Senior Staff Accountant. Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and maintain the general ledger
• Lead portions of the month-end and year-end close process
• Maintain accruals, prepaids, and fixed asset schedules
• Review accounts payable and accounts receivable activity
• Assist with revenue recognition and cost accounting
• Prepare financial reports, variance analysis, and management reporting
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
• Support tax filings, process improvements, and system enhancements
• Partner with operations and leadership to provide financial insight and support business initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and the month-end close process
• Advanced Excel skills
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or multi-entity environment is a plus
• Exposure to cost accounting, revenue recognition, or audit support is beneficial

Compensation & Benefits

• $60,000-$70,000 based on experience
