MyStaff is partnering with a local Lincoln client to hire a Part-Time Staff Accountant. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a flexible schedule while taking ownership of the company's day-to-day accounting functions.
Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries
• Process monthly general ledger activity and month-end accounting
• Prepare monthly financial statements
• Process biweekly payroll for approximately 50 employees
• Administer employee benefits
• Serve as backup for accounts payable as needed
• Assist with additional accounting responsibilities as the role grows

What We're Looking For:

• Previous accounting experience with general ledger, journal entries, and financial statement preparation
• Payroll experience preferred
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently
• Comfortable learning legacy accounting software 

Schedule & Compensation:

• 20-30 hours per week, with opportunity for additional responsibilities over time
• Daily in-office position in Lincoln (occasional work-from-home flexibility for illness or weather)
• $25-$30/hour, depending on experience
