MyStaff is partnering with a growing and highly successful construction company in Omaha to identify a Project Accountant to join their team. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor financial activity for construction projects, including job cost tracking and project financial reporting
• Support project managers with budget monitoring, cost analysis, and financial insights
• Assist with project setup, contract documentation, and change order tracking
• Process and review project billing and subcontractor invoices
• Maintain accurate job cost records and support project financial reporting
• Assist the accounting team with month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Support internal reporting and financial analysis
• Collaborate across accounting and operations to ensure accurate and timely financial information

Qualifications

• Construction accounting experience required, including job costing and project accounting concepts
• Experience with Sage accounting software is helpful but not required
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with project teams
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving
