Key Responsibilities

• Source, develop, and maintain partnerships with carriers and shippers
• Negotiate pricing and contract terms to secure profitable freight transactions
• Coordinate pickup and delivery schedules while tracking freight status proactively
• Monitor carrier performance to ensure timely delivery and service quality
• Resolve service issues, delays, or claims in a timely and professional manner
• Prepare load documentation and maintain accurate records in transportation systems
• Provide exceptional customer service, serving as the primary point of contact for load updates
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimize routing and pricing strategies
• Maintain knowledge of market conditions, transportation regulations, and capacity trends
• Meet or exceed freight volume, margin, and profitability goals

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities
• Proficiency in TMS software and standard office applications
• Knowledge of transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations preferred
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Education & Experience

• High school diploma required; degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred
• Previous experience in freight brokerage, logistics, dispatching, or transportation sales highly beneficial
