MyStaff is excited to parnter with a local mid-sized property management company in Omaha, NE, specializing in property management and leasing. Our growing team is looking for a Property Accountant to manage financials, ensure accurate reporting, and support property operations. We offer a full time role with opportunities for career growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
Process rent payments, lease escalations, CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations, and tenant billings.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for assigned properties.
Review lease agreements and ensure financial accuracy in reporting.
Work closely with property managers and landlords to resolve lease-related discrepancies.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting for property expenses and revenue.
Perform variance analysis and provide financial insights.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
Experience: 2+ years of lease or property accounting experience highly preferred, preferably in real estate or property management.
Technical Skills: Yardi (required), Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting tools.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP, lease accounting principles, and property finance.
Soft Skills: Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in a team.
