Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to define and drive enterprise architecture strategy across multiple business portfolios, including Store, Digital, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Marketing, and Data Analytics.
The role will lead enterprise-wide architecture initiatives, cloud modernisation, AI-driven solutions, and engineering excellence, ensuring technology strategies align with business vision and digital transformation goals.
Must-Have Technical and Functional Skills
Enterprise Architecture and Strategy
Define and drive enterprise architecture strategy aligned with business vision and digital transformation goals.
Design scalable, resilient, and secure enterprise applications using modern architectures, including microservices, event-driven, and API-first approaches.
Lead architecture design across multi-cloud and hyperscaler platforms, including Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Establish architecture governance frameworks, standards, and best practices.
Review architecture adherence, evaluate solutions, and continuously update standards.
Understand and contribute to data architecture.
Cloud and Modernisation
Architect cloud-native applications and migration strategies for enterprise workloads.
Lead modernisation initiatives, including legacy transformation, containerisation, and platform engineering.
Drive effective adoption of cloud services across compute, storage, data, and AI/ML capabilities.
Contribute to enterprise data architecture initiatives.
AI-Led Enterprise Solutions
Architect and implement AI-driven enterprise solutions, including Generative AI (GenAI), Agentic AI, and machine learning pipelines.
Integrate AI capabilities across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, and operations.
Identify and industrialise AI use cases across business functions.
Ensure responsible AI practices, governance, and ethical implementation.
Technology Stack and Engineering Excellence
Demonstrate strong expertise in the Java ecosystem, including Spring Boot, microservices, and API development.
Apply experience with:
Containers and orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes
API gateways and integration platforms
Event streaming technologies, including Kafka and Pub/Sub
Define and enforce engineering best practices, DevSecOps standards, and CI/CD pipelines.
Required Qualifications
20+ years of IT experience, including 8+ years in architecture roles.
Proven experience in multi-cloud architecture across GCP, Azure, and OCI.
Strong hands-on experience in Java-based enterprise application design.
Experience developing AI/ML and GenAI solutions and integrating them into enterprise systems.
Strong experience in solution design, proposals, and customer engagement.
Google Professional Cloud Architect certification.
Preferred Experience and Exposure
Retail domain experience is an advantage.
Exposure to platform engineering.
Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and observability architecture.
Knowledge of API monetisation and digital ecosystems.
Experience leading large-scale transformation programmes.
