Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Engineer with strong expertise in cloud security and hands-on experience with the Wiz platform.
The successful candidate will have experience across Wiz Cloud, Wiz Defend, and Wiz Outpost, together with strong cloud-native engineering expertise across AWS and GCP environments.
The role will focus on cloud security, vulnerability management, runtime threat detection, cloud networking, identity and workload security, security operations, and Wiz Outpost deployment and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and manage Wiz Outpost in customer-managed or regulated cloud environments.
- Configure and support Wiz Outpost, including network integration and operational support.
- Work with Wiz Cloud capabilities including CSPM, CIEM, and vulnerability management.
- Work with Wiz Defend for cloud detection and response and runtime threat detection.
- Utilise the Wiz security graph, policy authoring capabilities, and integration APIs.
- Implement and support cloud security solutions across AWS and GCP environments.
- Work with cloud networking, identity, and workload security across multi-cloud environments.
- Support landing zone architectures, private connectivity, and network segmentation.
- Integrate cloud security tooling with SIEM and SOAR solutions.
- Support threat detection, incident response workflows, and alert triage within SOC environments.
- Work with Docker and Kubernetes, including EKS and GKE.
- Develop infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Develop pipeline and workflow automation using Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
- Apply cloud security frameworks, standards, and best practices.
- Support security requirements related to Zero Trust architecture and policy-as-code.
Required Technical SkillsWiz Platform - 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with the Wiz platform.
- Deep expertise in Wiz Cloud, including CSPM, CIEM, and vulnerability management.
- Experience with Wiz Defend, including CDR and runtime threat detection.
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing Wiz Outpost.
- Proficiency with the Wiz security graph, policy authoring, and integration APIs.
Cloud Security - Strong cloud-native engineering expertise across AWS and GCP.
- Experience with AWS IAM, EKS, Lambda, VPC, GuardDuty, and Security Hub.
- Experience with GCP IAM, GKE, Cloud Run, and Security Command Center.
- Hands-on experience with cloud networking, identity, and workload security.
- Familiarity with landing zone architectures.
- Experience with PrivateLink, VPC peering, VPN, and network segmentation.
Security Operations - Experience integrating cloud security tooling with SIEM platforms such as Splunk or Chronicle.
- Experience with SOAR solutions.
- Familiarity with threat detection and incident response workflows.
- Experience with alert triage within a SOC environment.
Technologies & Automation - Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including EKS and GKE.
- Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages for pipeline and workflow automation.
Security Frameworks - Working knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK Cloud Matrix.
- Working knowledge of CIS Benchmarks.
- Working knowledge of NIST CSF.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices.
- Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture and policy-as-code is preferred.
- Familiarity with data residency, data sovereignty, and regulated industry compliance requirements is preferred.
Preferred Certifications - Wiz Certified Expert
- AWS Security Specialty
- Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer
- CISSP
- CCSP
Education - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
