About the Role
We are seeking an experienced AEM Cloud Architect to lead the design, development, and migration of enterprise Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) solutions to AEM as a Cloud Service.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on technical leader with strong experience across AEM architecture, cloud migrations, DevOps, modern front-end development, enterprise DAM, headless content delivery, and Adobe Experience Cloud integrations.
This role will work closely with development, architecture, DevOps, and business teams to modernize digital experience platforms, improve content delivery capabilities, and establish scalable and high-performing AEM Cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support migration initiatives from AEM 6.x/AEM 6.5 to AEM as a Cloud Service.
Design scalable and secure AEM Cloud architectures for enterprise environments.
Develop and implement AEM templates, components, content models, and reusable development frameworks.
Develop and maintain HTL/Sightly templates, Sling Models, OSGi services, servlets, schedulers, and event handlers.
Design and implement headless and omnichannel content delivery using Content Fragments, Experience Fragments, and GraphQL.
Configure and manage Adobe Cloud Manager environments and CI/CD deployment pipelines.
Integrate source control platforms such as GitHub or Bitbucket with Cloud Manager workflows.
Design and optimize AEM Dispatcher, CDN, reverse proxy, and load-balancing configurations.
Support enterprise Digital Asset Management (DAM) implementations and integrations with AEM Sites.
Design and implement internal and external API integrations with AEM.
Integrate AEM with Adobe Experience Cloud technologies, including Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Experience Platform, Adobe Data Collection/Tags, Web SDK, and Mobile SDK.
Work with Adobe I/O and event-driven integration patterns.
Support the adoption of modern front-end technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJS, NextJS, Lit, HTML, and CSS.
Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, and ChatGPT to improve development productivity and engineering practices.
Evaluate and implement relevant AI capabilities available within AEM as a Cloud Service.
Establish development standards, architecture patterns, and best practices for AEM Cloud implementations.
Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to development teams.
Collaborate with internal teams and external technology partners to deliver enterprise-scale solutions.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide architectural recommendations focused on scalability, security, performance, and reliability.
Required Technical Skills & Experience
8+ years of hands-on AEM experience, including at least 3 years working with AEM as a Cloud Service.
Proven experience completing at least one full migration from AEM 6.x to AEM as a Cloud Service.
Expert knowledge of AEM Cloud architecture, Adobe Cloud Manager, and deployment pipelines.

Strong knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps best practices.
Experience integrating AEM with the wider Adobe Experience Cloud ecosystem.
Experience with Adobe Data Collection/Tags, Web SDK, Mobile SDK, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, and Adobe Experience Platform (AEP).
Experience with Adobe OpenAPI for AEM Assets and AEM Sites integrations.
Experience with Adobe I/O and event-driven integrations.
Experience using AI-assisted coding and development tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or GitHub Copilot.
Exposure to AI capabilities within AEM as a Cloud Service.
AEM Developer or Architect certification is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
AEM Developer or Architect certification.
Experience working on large-scale enterprise digital experience platforms.
Experience with multi-site and multi-language AEM implementations.
Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture and modern CDN strategies.
Experience driving AI-assisted software development practices within engineering teams.
Experience working in environments with multiple technology vendors and distributed teams.
