Role Summary
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will oversee all current manufacturing engineering activities within the plant and support upcoming product launches.
The role is responsible for leading the engineering team, driving process improvements, managing budgets and resources, and ensuring engineering excellence across manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Engineers, providing direction, training, and performance evaluations.
Develop and manage the Engineering budget, ensuring departmental objectives are achieved within approved targets.
Manage project costs, manpower planning, and resource allocation.
Lead and support new product launch activities.
Develop and maintain manufacturing process standards.
Drive the continuous improvement of engineering processes, structures, and overall performance.
Define and oversee project management activities.
Evaluate and implement new materials and processes to improve quality, reliability, and manufacturing efficiency.
Ensure engineering documentation is maintained accurately and within required timelines.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction and operational efficiency.
Ensure engineering disciplines and design requirements are understood and consistently followed.
Define and manage operating and capital expenditure budgets.
Provide strong shop floor leadership within manufacturing, mechanical, and process engineering environments.
Manage the performance and development of direct reports.
Ensure compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
Education / Skills
Bachelor's Degree (BS or BA) is required.
Precision stamping or moulding experience is preferred.
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Solid understanding of Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing methodologies, with a proven track record of implementation.
Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
Ability to motivate teams, drive results, and delegate responsibilities effectively.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and employees at all levels.
Results-oriented mindset.
Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop direct reports.
