Position Overview: An international quality management organization with over 170 years of expertise is seeking a dynamic and seasoned Regional Leader – MED to oversee laboratory operations and inspection/audit services across the MED region. With a global footprint in over 80 countries, 1,400 employees, 13 laboratories, and a diverse team representing over 50 nationalities, the company delivers world-class solutions in inspection, testing, auditing, certification, technical assistance, and training.
This role is ideal for a leader with a strong background in general management, particularly in inspection and audit services, and who is driven by customer service excellence and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all laboratory operations in the MED region, ensuring compliance with the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and service quality.
Organize and oversee inspection and audit services with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders to align service offerings with current and emerging market demands.
Monitor and analyze industry trends and customer needs to adapt regional operations accordingly.
Provide strategic leadership to regional teams, promoting a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistency and excellence in service delivery across all regions.
Ensure compliance with relevant international standards, regulations, and quality systems, particularly those applicable to the hardline and softline industries.
Manage regional budgets, forecasts, and financial performance in alignment with global business objectives.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a senior general management role within an international context, ideally in a laboratory, quality management, or safety-related environment.
In-depth understanding of inspection and audit processes, with a customer-first approach.
Expertise in hardline or softline product categories, including knowledge of global compliance standards and supply chain expectations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build long-term relationships across cultures and regions.
Demonstrated leadership with a track record of inspiring and guiding high-performing regional teams.
Excellent organizational and strategic problem-solving skills.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; an advanced degree or international professional experience is highly desirable.
