Head of Operations & Supply Chain
Salary: £70-80k + Bonus
Enfield - Greater London

We are seeking a highly experienced Head of Operations & Supply Chain to take full ownership of multi-site logistics and distribution operations within a dynamic, customer-driven business. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and sitting on the senior leadership team, this is a pivotal role with the autonomy to shape and scale operational performance across several UK depots.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead operations across multiple depots, including warehousing, logistics, inventory and distribution.
• Manage budgets, cost control, and P&L to ensure efficient, profitable delivery.
• Drive process improvements to boost productivity, reduce costs and enhance service.
• Collaborate with procurement, planning and commercial teams to align the supply chain.
• Oversee inventory, capacity and resource planning to maintain strong service levels.
• Build supplier and transport partner relationships that add resilience and value.
• Lead and develop depot teams, creating a high-performance, accountable culture.
• Manage workforce planning, performance and training to strengthen capability.

Qualifications & Experience

• Significant experience in a senior warehousing/operations management role within FMCG logistics.
• Proven track record of managing multi-site operations with direct accountability for people, performance and budgets.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor and develop large, diverse teams.
• Commercially astute, with the ability to balance operational efficiency with cost-effectiveness and profitability.
• Excellent problem-solving and change management skills, with the ability to redesign processes, layouts and structures to deliver improvements.
• Proficiency in ERP systems with the ability to use data and KPIs to drive decision-making.
