TYRE & WHEEL COORDINATOR
Geraldton Based | FULL TIME | Monday-Friday with additional ovetime as required operationally

We are seeking an experienced Tyre & Wheel Coordinator to join our Geraldton-based team. This is a hands-on role leading tyre maintenance across our fleet of heavy mobile equipment, with regular travel to project sites. You will be responsible for overseeing tyre and wheel management, ensuring safe and efficient maintenance practices, optimising tyre life and supporting overall fleet reliability.
  
ABOUT THE ROLE
The successful candidate will play an important role in establishing and maintaining effective tyre and wheel management processes, coordinating contractors and suppliers, monitoring performance and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
*Note this is a Geraldton-based role, no FIFO or relocation opportunities available
  
Your role will include:

• Coordinating tyre management across the fleet, including fitting activities, maintenance scheduling and tyre life optimisation.
• Manage wheel assemblies, ensuring all inspection, repair and assembly requirements are met.
• Conduct and coordinate tyre and wheel condition monitoring and inspections.
• Manage tyre and wheel procurement, inventory control and stock accuracy.
• Coordinate external tyre maintenance contractors, service providers and wheel repairers.
• Ensure tyre and wheel maintenance activities comply with relevant safety, compliance and risk management requirements.
• Monitor and report on tyre performance, including Cost Per Kilometre (CPK) and Cost Per Hour (CPH), identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor key performance indicators, including uncontrolled tyre failures, tyre-related incidents, tyre life, inspection compliance, inventory accuracy and expenditure.
• Establish and maintain effective tyre and wheel management systems, processes and asset governance.
• Undertake other duties as directed, in line with skills and capabilities.

  
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES 

• Previous experience in mining, transport or heavy mobile equipment tyre maintenance.
• Sound knowledge of tyre and wheel assembly management.
• Experience coordinating and managing contractors, suppliers and service providers.
• The ability to establish and maintain structured tyre and wheel management systems that improve safety, reduce incidents, maximise tyre life and support fleet reliability.
• Demonstrated ability to manage tyre and wheel assets, maintain effective governance and control associated expenditure.
• Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to record, monitor and manage maintenance activities.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

  
EDUCATION, LICENCES AND TRAINING 

• Valid Australian Driver's License.
• A mechanical trade qualification or Certificate II in Tyre Fitting, supported by relevant industry experience.
