Our Recruitment officer is progressing internally to a site-based role within our Projects team, meaning that we are now seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Recruitment Officer to join our HR & Recruitment team.
About the Role
Location: Geraldton (preferred) | Perth considered with regular travel
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week
Roster: Monday to Friday
This position plays a vital role in sourcing and securing high-quality talent across our operations. The Recruitment Officer will lead end-to-end recruitment for our projects, securing high-quality blue-collar talent such as site-based mobile plant operators and trades, as well as white-collar professionals including administrators, supervisors, engineers and management.
Reporting to the HR Manager, you will join a supportive and collaborative HR team consisting of a HR Manager, Resource Scheduler, Recruitment Specialist and HR Support Administrator.
This role suits someone who genuinely enjoys building relationships, someone who “loves a chat” but can balance people engagement with strong organisation and process management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for both blue and white-collar roles
- Support workforce resourcing across Bulk & Detailed Earthworks, Heavy Haulage and Mine Site Services
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce requirements and deliver tailored recruitment strategies
- Proactively source candidates through Seek, LinkedIn, networks, referrals and talent pools
- Maintain accurate recruitment data & reporting through JobAdder (applicant tracking system)
- Coordinate site mobilisation requirements including documentation and compliance
- Contribute to continuous improvement of recruitment systems and processes
What You’ll Bring - Proven recruitment experience (in-house or agency)
- Experience recruiting within civil construction, mining, heavy haulage & related industries (highly regarded)
- Strong understanding of blue-collar and site-based recruitment processes
- Confident communicator with the ability to build rapport at all levels
- Highly organised and goal-driven with exceptional time management skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong administrative and reporting capability
- Experience using applicant tracking systems (JobAdder preferred)
- Microsoft Excel – Intermediate (mandatory)
- Experience managing high-volume inboxes and documentation
- Ability to work autonomously and take initiative
