This excellent spot has been open for a couple of years now and has one of the best founder stories around. The owner has deep links in the pub and brewing world and this spot combines the best aspects of the pub whilst having a huge focus on the food. The menu is simple, seasonal and has its roots in the British classics and is executed by a very well-respected Head Chef. The drinks selection is also excellent and very considered, a big focus on the best ales but also a great wine selection and a few special bottles around too.
The management team here is pretty stable and they’re looking for a bar manager to take ownership over the bar and the bar teams. This role would have a big focus on being in service and managing the day-to-day of the bar operations. There is a focus on excellent beers and ales so cellar management, experience of working with casks ales and line management would be really useful. The wine list is small but considered and they would love for this person to oversee the wine too, no need to create the list but definitely scope for input if you’re interested. Outside of service this role would be responsible for beverage stock management so a keen eye for costings and prior experience would be excellent, but the existing team are very experienced if you’ve not taken all of that on before.
Typically, you will work 6 shifts per week and as they’re open 7 days a week so there is a good mix of shifts and they are big on being as flexible with their rotas as possible.
