Ooooh, this one is going to be so slick!
We’re looking for an excellent and experienced kitchen manager–esque Head Chef to open and lead this new hand role Temaki counter-dining spot in Soho. The fit-out is gorgeous, beyond chic and we’re in no doubt this place will fly. It’s a cosy spot too, with just 30 covers, but it’s still set to be a busy operation given the incredible location and the fact that lunch service will roll straight into dinner.
Work with excellent, seasonal and primarily British ingredients to create delicious hand role Temaki. Being up for a challenge and a love for interacting with customers and working in an open kitchen is more important than years of Sushi experience as there is a brilliant development chef on board who'll be there to support. You’ll need to be approachable and warm, as well as having brilliant attention to detail. Given that you’ll be working with lots of raw produce, being hot on H&S will also be key.
We’re looking for a financially savvy, operationally strong kitchen-manager-style Head Chef who will be a fantastic and supportive leader to your team of approx. 10. Somebody who enjoys implementing ways of working, training and developing their team, and building an excellent and caring culture.
Hospitality and warmth will be paramount in this place. Given the location and the on-point menus, despite being a 30-cover restaurant we’re sure this will be a busy spot, so we’re looking for somebody who thrives in that fast-paced environment.
You’ll need a love for seafood and working with raw ingredients too, think Koya vibes…
They’ll be open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, so there will be a lovely balance of shifts throughout the week.
