11th August, 2025
Mixture of shifts, not all evenings, some early mornings too!
45 hours a week, great work life balance for a chef
Chance to work for an iconic brand, a pillar of the London food community
Work alongside excellent head chef, and with seriously good British produce
Work the production side, deli, wholesale, but also the a la carte menu, serious variation
This is an iconic, world famous deli known for its old school charm, and delicious counter. Recently celebrated their 80th birthday, its been going since 1944 and shows no signs of stopping down. Their products are some of the best in London, and even their smoked salmon has been called the best in the world. Not only is there the deli, but they now have a gorge terrace outside their legendary shop, where you can sit and order off the menu with a delicious cup of coffee. They are always growing, and this is such an exciting time to join this ever expanding business.
We are looking for a Sous chef with a couple years experience in a restaurant or similar role. You will be responsible for helping the wonderful head chef with the team management and training, and the menu development. You will help create hampers for their wholesale clients, work on the production for the deli, and create menus for the café. Skills in fish butchery, and animal butchery are necessary, and mainly someone who has done high levels of MEP/production before. We are looking for an organised, clean and warm chef who is a natural leader. The week is 45 hours, sometimes you would be doing an early morning shift from 6am, but other days would be working on production until 9pm. So this is a fantastic role for someone wanting some variation in their role, every day would be a little bit different.
