We are so excited to be working with this beautiful & newly refurbished 16th century pub nestled in the Shropshire Hills. Their Head Chef is a real industry gem, creating a daily changing menus to showcase the stunning produce from their linked organic farm. The family who own the pub also own a nearby cattle farm and kitchen garden that delivers produce to some of London’s best restaurants. This wonderful pub has recently reopened to huge success, it is really at the centre of the community and a fave among locals, they also opened their newly refurbed rooms upstairs last summer too. This is a brilliant time to join this growing business and an incredible opportunity to shape the future of this pub, put your stamp on things and really make an impact in this beautiful part of the world.
WHAT’S THE JOB?
We are seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead this lovely rural pub. The ideal candidate will be passionate about enhancing the guest experience; this pub is a central hub in the community and a favourite among locals. Building rapport with regulars and being a true people person is essential. While you will receive ample support with administrative and financial tasks, your primary focus will be on day-to-day operations.
This hands-on role involves not only delivering an exceptional guest experience but also training and developing the team, recruiting new staff, and forging strong relationships with local suppliers and the community.
Given the rural location, you must be able to drive.

WHAT ARE THE HOURS?
This is a full time role, 45 hours per week. The pub is open for lunch on Monday – Sunday and Friday and Saturday dinners, so you will work a mix of shifts during these times with one day a week for admin time.
