WHO ARE THEY? Exciting and successful female led restaurant in the heart of Borough Market looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to work closely with the GM and AGM. This is the owners first restaurant after running pop ups and releasing one of the best & award winning cookbooks of 2022. This very well-loved restaurant with ‘proudly post-colonial’ décor showcases the bold and bright flavours of Sri Lankan Tamil cooking in an excellent and busy location in Borough Market. Vegetarian dishes are a big focus on the regularly changing menu, and meat and fish dish are carefully selected from high quality ethical suppliers. The drinks menu features a mix of natural, low intervention wines and cocktails centred around Sri Lankan ingredients and the desserts menu has an ever changing line up of mega creative soft serve options with Sri Lankan flavours.
WHAT'S THE JOB? We are looking for a strong Restaurant Manager to join this brilliant business, with experience in running busy or fast paced restaurant services to a great standard. Initially this role will be very focussed on service, supporting and equipping up the restaurant and team to run smooth and slick service with a friendly and chatty approach. Strong knowledge of natural wines and cocktails is a plus, but most important is bringing personality and enthusiasm to lead and inspire the team. There is plenty of opportunity to progress in this role and build on your back office skills as well as growing with the business as it grows.
THE HOURS The restaurant is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner so you’ll have a nice mix of shifts and this is a full time 48 hours a week role with paid overtime.
