The Job
We are very excited to be working with this truly excellent business in Devon, this beautiful wine estate has so much to offer guests including staying in their boutique accommodation, wine tours & tastings, events and dining in their wonderful restaurant. The restaurant is reopening in the spring and will serve thoughtful dishes championing the produce from farm on the estate as well as foraged ingredients. They also have exciting plans for the year ahead including developing an organic kitchen garden to serve the restaurant.
The ideal person will be an experienced Head Chef with a huge passion for cooking with local sustainable ingredients and using sustainable practices. You will also be very organised, commercially strong as well as creative and comfortable with high volume. The estate is carbon neutral and even there water comes from a spring on the estate, a huge amount of what they do is closed loop and the aim is for this to be the same in the restaurant too. We are looking for an easy going, caring chef who is driven to make this place truly special, and who shares the values of the close knit team. The kitchen is very new and fully kitted out, there is scope to incorporate an open fire cooking offering in their courtyard space. The opportunity here is endless and there is so much support from the owners to make this a special place
